The love story began in 1995 when I got my first snowboard from my father. He just said: “Anyone can ski! Here comes a new trend sport from America: snowboarding. From today on, you are a snowboarder!”

He was right – I was hooked from the very first descent. Snowboarding was the coolest feeling and by far the most relaxed way to move around in the mountains.

Over time, I was drawn more and more to open terrain. But climbing with snowshoes was difficult, and ski tourers didn't like having their tracks trampled. The solution? Splitboards! The first models came onto the market in the early 2000s, but they were heavy, expensive and unaffordable for me as a young snowboarder.

Years later, in 2019 in Zermatt, I tested a new splitboard set from Jones over Easter - and was immediately convinced. Finally a board that is not only perfect for touring, but also delivers top performance on the slopes, when carving and jibbing. The best thing: for the first time, it was available for under 2000 francs.

After 20 years, I've fallen in love again - with splitboarding! For me, it's snowboarding 2.0. We want to share this passion and experience with you. Stop by our splitboard shop - we look forward to your visit!
