About Esko

The love story started in 1995 when my father gave me my first snowboard. He said: Anyone can ski, here comes a new trend sport called snowboarding from America. Son from today you are a snowboarder! 

My father was right, snowboarding is the best feeling to have fun in the mountains.

Over time, freeriding became interesting, but unfortunately very tedious with snowshoes because the ski touring tracks were destroyed. Inevitable potential for conflict with all the ski tourers. At the beginning of the 2000s there were the first splitboards and splitboard bindings, but they were too heavy and too expensive for me as a young snowboard tour enthusiast. The development of splitboards continued over the years. I saw in the splitboard market that something is happening here. Unfortunately the splitboard sets were still too expensive and I waited. In 2019 in Zermatt, when I tested my new Jones splitboard set over Easter, I was so excited. I've been waiting for this moment for years, a splitboard set for less than 2000 francs, which you can also use for normal slope skiing and carving in the morning as well as for jerking and jibbing in the afternoon. But that's not all, the best part is that I can use it for splitboard touring.

After almost 20 years, I fell in love again, namely with splitboarding, for me snowboarding 2.0. We want to bring these emotions and experiences closer to you in our splitboard shop and look forward to your visit.
