The Jones Solution is probably the industry standard for a splitboard. It covers a wide range of circumstances, from hard charging to powder, and everything in between. The edge hold in icy conditions is hard to beat. I have purchased one in a 161cm and I am pleased with the firm (mid-stiff) flex. It provides stability at higher speeds. I am about 76kg (168 lbs) and 173cm tall (5’8″) with a size 42 shoe or size 9 US. I tried a 158, which worked fine with the boots, but I like the longer length turning radius of the 161, and the 161 seems stiffer. I usually ride a 154cm or 156cm snowboard. Having the extra length helps in powder conditions and on the skin tracks. It also helps support the weight of a heavier backpack when you’re splitboarding all day. Overall, if you are only expecting to use one splitboard, this would be a great choice. It is made for intermediate to advanced riders, but I got one in my 4th season and got familiar with it very fast.
